Banks lead decliners at midday on Bursa Malaysia


KUALA LUMPUR: Banking stocks led blue chips lower at the midday break on Monday as investors decided to stay on the sidelines, ahead of the general elections while key regional markets were mixed.

At midday, the FBM KLCI was down 3.69 points or 0.23% to 1,624.24. Turnover was 379.54mil shares valued at RM305.54mil. There were 137 gainers, 329 losers and 271 counters unchanged.
