REVIEW: The holiday-shortened week because of the Chinese New Year celebrations saw the local bourse registering thin trading volume and a lacklustre performance. Daily average volumes never breached the 800-million-share mark over the three-day trading week as most investors were still away for the festive period.
The benchmark FBM Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) also did not impress despite a firm start to the week as the lack of fresh catalysts and domestic political uncertainties continued to weigh on investor sentiment in general.
