KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's blue chips kicked off the Year of the Snake on a firm note on Wednesday when trading resumed after an extended weekend for the Chinese New Year holidays, with Public Bank among the gainers.
At 9.09am, the FBM KLCI was up 9.53 points to1,633.33. Turnover was 21.82 million shares valued at RM29.50mil. There were 116 gainers, 20 losers and 52 counters unchanged.
