Scomi gets nod for debt issuance to IJM, signals end of dispute

PETALING JAYA: Shareholders of Scomi Group Bhd have greenlit the issuance of RM110mil worth of convertible debt to IJM Corp Bhd, marking the end of a squabble between two parties that had clashed on IJM's entry into the company.

The proposal was unanimously passed at Scomi's EGM yesterday without objection from shareholders, chairman Tan Sri Asmat Kamaludin told newsmen after the meeting, which saw a turnout that eclipsed that of its AGMs.
