Sanichi share price surges 50%, faces Bursa Securities scrutiny

KUALA LUMPUR: Sanichi Technology Bhd's share price jumped 50% in active trade on Thursday, prompting a query from Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd.

The counter rose 10 sen to close at 20 sen. There were 53.34 million shares transacted.

The FBM KLCI rebounded to close up 4.96 points at 1,670.60. Turnover was 883.82 million shares valued at RM1.28bil. There were 358 gainers, 273 losers and 333 counters unchanged.

Bursa Securities had issued an unusual market activity query on the sharp rise in the price and volume of shares on Thursday.

The regulator also advised investors to take note of the company's reply to the query which would be posted on Bursa Malaysia's website under the company announcements.
