VEGOILS-Market factors to watch Dec 7(Friday)

KUALA LUMPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets.

FUNDAMENTALS

* Malaysian palm oil futures edged up 0.4 percent on Thursday as traders bet on demand rising in the face of tighter supplies of competing soyoil due to unfavourable weather in Argentina.

* U.S. corn futures eased on Thursday on concerns about sluggish demand after a report showed last week's export sales were well below expectations, although spillover support from a late-day rally in soybeans helped the market close above session lows.

* Oil prices fell on Thursday after the head of the European Central Bank said the euro zone's economic outlook faces "downside risk" and a recovery may not happen until later in 2013.

MARKET NEWS

* Oil prices slipped and the euro fell the most in a month on Thursday after the European Central Bank said growth in the euro zone is likely to shrink next year, sparking speculation of an interest rate cut.

* Oil closed lower for a fourth straight session on Thursday and copper gave back early gains as investors exited commodities on increased risk to the euro zone outlook and uncertainties over U.S. budget talks.
