Minimum wages lift salary levels of non-executives


MEF says non-executive employees are granted higher average salary increase this year, whereas average salary increases for executives are lower.

KUALA LUMPUR: Rank and file employees will be the major benefactors in anticipation of the implementation of the National Minimum Wage, according to the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF).

In its latest Salary Surveys for Executives and Non-Executives 2012 publication, the MEF revealed that non-executives were granted the highest ever average salary increases in the past decade.
