Competition in private retirement scheme heats up


Tupling says CIMB-Principal is looking at a fund size of RM2bil.

KUALA LUMPUR: The private retirement scheme (PRS) industry, which was launched along with the Private Pension Administrator in July, will now see more competition with CIMB-Principal Asset Management Bhd collaborating with a group of employers through its PRS Plus partner programme.

The eight employers introducing the scheme to their employees via the collaboration, which was signed yesterday, were CIMB Group Holdings Bhd, UEM Group Bhd, Scomi Group Bhd, SME Corp Malaysia, Ernst & Young, Alam Maritim Resources Bhd, A Cut Above Sdn Bhd and Asian Tigers Transpo Movers (M) Sdn Bhd.
