SINGAPORE: After five years of toil, the Housing Board has finally made all HDB estates barrier-free.
The S$23mil programme, which installs ramps and hand rails to cater for the elderly and infirm so that they can walk around their neighbourhood with ease, now covers nearly 7,800 HDB blocks.
