REVIEW: Taking heart from a pick up in gross domestic product data in the United States, shares on Bursa Malaysia kicked off the new week on a solid platform, with the FBM Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (FBM KLCI) jumping a significant 6.41 points, to 1,678.30.
The overall underlying tone of the market was pretty firm while blue chips topped the winners' board amid follow-through interest. Soon after that, the key index established a new record of 1,679.37.
