SapuraKencana awarded RM836mil jobs

KUALA LUMPUR: SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd has been awarded RM836mil worth of jobs by Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd and HESS Exploration and Production Malaysia BV.

The integrated oil and gas services and solutions provider told Bursa Malaysia that its wholly-owned subsidiary Allied Marine and Equipment Sdn Bhd was awarded a RM700mil job by Petronas Carigali for the provision of underwater services covering offshore oil and gas fields in Malaysia.

The award is effective from October 2012 until April 2016, with the option to extend for another year. The award is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets per share of the SapuraKencana Group for the financial years ending Jan 31, 2013 to 2017.

SapuraKencana Petroleum also said its wholly-owned subsidiary Kencana HL Sdn Bhd was awarded a RM135.8mil job by HESS for the provision of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a wellhead platform for the Kamelia Field. The Kamelia Field is part of the North Malay Basin, an area located 300km offshore Peninsular Malaysia.
