Low attendance at the Canton Fair indicates weak demand for goods

THERE can not be no clearer sign of how bleak the outlook is for the global economy than the biannual Canton Fair the largest of China's trade fairs held in spring and fall which is an indicator of the country and the global economy.

For the global economy to grow, trade has to pick up, but so far, that has not been the case, as news reports on the fair showed.
