RM17.8mil for cocoa replanting


GUA MUSANG: The Government has approved RM17.8mil for the smallholders' cocoa-replanting programme this year involving 1,567 ha and 2,000 smallholders in the country.

Plantation Industries and Commodities Deputy Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainudin said when opening a basic course on cocoa crop technology and launching a cocoa programme for the people at the Rantau Manis Agropolitan project site yesterday that 325 cocoa smallholders in Kelantan were involved in the programme covering 166 ha in the state.
