China exhibition, branding showcase expected to pull in RM310mil


GEORGE TOWN: The forthcoming China Import & Export Commodities Exhibition Malaysia (CIEM) and Malaysia International Branding Showcase (IBS) in Kuala Lumpur are expected to generate about RM310mil (US$100mil) in sales, up by approximately 5% from 2011.

China Foreign Trade Centre miscellaneous exhibition department manager Saskia Zeng said more than 450 enterprises from eight countries and areas, such as China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Bengal and other ASEAN coutries would take part in the CIEM & IBS exhibition, jointly by China Foreign Trade Centre and Malaysia China International Trade Link Association (MACITA), scheduled to be held from Nov 28 to Dec 1 at Kuala Lumpur Putra World Trade Centre.
