PETALING JAYA: Local palm oil refiners, deprived of a consistent supply of crude palm oil (CPO) feedstock for processing in Malaysia especially after the additional duty-free CPO export quota given by the Government, are questioning the status of the quota beneficiaries.
An industry source said refiners wanted transparency in terms of the allocation and distribution of the quota to the beneficiaries which were dubbed “kings of the palm oil approved permit (AP).”
