KUALA LUMPUR: Blue chips closed higher for the third day on Thursday in line with regional markets as investors bought riskier assets on expectations that measures would be implemented to support Spain's ailing banks.
As for Malaysia, sentiment was underpinned by Moody's Investors Service report that the outlook for the country's A3 sovereign rating was stable and it also had the buffers against the global financial pressures.
