Analyst: HSBB outpaces other broadband networks in region

NEW DELHI: Telekom Malaysia Bhd’s (TM) high-speed broadband (HSBB) network is comfortably outpacing other National Broadband Networks (NBNs) being deployed in the region, such as rival Singapore’s Next Generation Nationwide Broadband Network (NGNBN) as well as those being rolled out in Australia and New Zealand.

According to Informa Telecoms & Media (ITM), the HSBB project, a 70:30 joint venture between TM and the Government, had 310,000 subscribers by end-April and had passed over 1.2 million premises in the country with the network set to be completed both on time and under budget.
