GEORGE TOWN: The price of plastic resin is likely to remain stable this year hovering around US$1,600 per tonne, influenced largely by the lower demand from China and shortage of resin supply.
SLP Resources Bhd managing director Kelvin Khaw said the price of resin had increased to US$1,600 per tonne compared with US$1,300 per tonne in February due to the shortage from regular maintenance work being carried out at resin production plants worldwide.
