KLCI dips below 1,600, IOI, Tenaga weigh

KUALA LUMPUR: Key regional markets were in the red at midday on Monday as investors stayed cautious ahead of Spain's debt sale on Tuesday and slowing growth in South Korea.

At 12.30pm, the KLCI was down 3.35 points or 0.21% to 1,599.77, weighed down by losses in IOI Corp and Tenaga. Turnover was 509.403 million shares traded worth RM430.95mil. Decliners beat advancers nearly two to one, with 372 losers to 198 gainers while 304 counters remain unchanged.
