PETALING JAYA: Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) has appointed Mohamed Rafique Merican Mohd Wahiduddin Merican as its group chief financial officer effective June 1, 2012.

In a statement, the country’s largest banking group said Mohamed Rafique would succeed Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli, who would be taking up the position of president director at PT Bank Internasional Indonesia TBK, a subsidiary of Maybank.

“We are delighted to welcome Rafique to Maybank. With more than 20 years of corporate experience, Rafique will complement and strengthen further our group exco and senior management team towards realising our aspiration to become a regional financial services leader,” it said.
