KUALA LUMPUR: The halal industry has targeted a 10%-15% growth in exports this year. Halal Industry Development Corp Sdn Bhd (HDC) vice-president, operations division, Mohd Raimee Mohd Tami said that with the 10%-15% increase, halal exports would amount to a total of RM30bil-RM33bil.
At a press conference yesterday to announce the Malaysia Halal Week 2012, he said the growth represented about 6% of Malaysia's total exports which amounted to RM550bil.
