LONDON: European Union (EU) states have failed to agree a law to crack down on derivatives, casting doubt on whether they can meet a globally agreed December deadline for new rules.
“They have not managed to reach an acceptable compromise,” an EU diplomat said after the day's second meeting of member states in Brussels to discuss the draft law. Reuters
