MOSCOW: Fitch Ratings lowered Russia's sovereign credit outlook to stable from positive because of intensified political risks during the country's election cycle, weak growth and rising dependency on high oil prices.
While highlighting that political risks have risen after opposition protests against alleged fraud in Dec 4 parliamentary election, Fitch still sees Prime Minister Vladimir Putin winning a presidential election in March. Reuters
