Maxbiz says too little and ends up being quizzed a lot

IF you were a loss-making PN17 company and you had bagged projects in new businesses worth over RM500mil, 70 times your revenue in 2010, wouldn't you be super-eager to share the details of the good news with the shareholders? Not Maxbiz Corp Bhd.

On Jan 3, the company made a single announcement about it securing two apparently unrelated jobs. The first is a contract for infrastructure works for a proposed property development project in Perak. Harta Mesra Development Sdn Bhd issued the letter of award (LoA) to Maxbiz's wholly-owned Dutamas SME Sdn Bhd. Maxbiz says the value of the project is RM4.9mil.
