MUCH has been said about CI Holdings Bhd, the turnaround specialist that transformed a once fledgling bottling company, Permanis Sdn Bhd, into Malaysia's second-largest soft-drink maker by sales volume.
Not to forget, it realised a sweetened RM677mil as pro forma gains along the way from its RM820mil sale of Permanis to Japan's Asahi Group Holdings Ltd, in contrast to its original RM72mil cost of investment back in 2004.
