PETALING JAYA: The FBM KLCI was up at midday, in line with regional markets and Wall Street which closed up 45.33 points to 11,868.81.
At 12.30pm, the local bourse was up 3.09 points to 1,467. Consumer counters such as Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd, Nestle (M) Bhd and Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd were among the top gainers as investors preferred to put their money in defensive stocks.
