Most Asian markets end higher

KUALA LUMPUR: The local bourse's benchmark index closed higher by 1.03% to 1,447.99 at 5pm Thursday, as most key Asian financial markets edged higher, and reversed losses in the morning, on speculation that China might ease its monetary policy to boost growth.

Earlier in the morning, Asian exchanges were lower due to continued worries over the euro zone's debt crisis after slightly less than two-thirds of the bonds offered at a German auction were sold.
