KUALA LUMPUR: Although the rate of inflation in Malaysia has stabilised, there is always an inflationary risk due to the country's open economy, Bank Negara governor Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz said.
She said inflation may occur if there was a disruption in price and supply of commodities, energy or food, adding that the country's rate of inflation had peaked and had now stabilised.
