Outlook for MMHE seen positive after ExxonMobil job


PETALING JAYA: Analysts are positive on the business outlook of Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings (MMHE), with its orderbook set to grow after it successfully clinched the RM1.4bil contract from ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc (EMEPMI).

The contract is to fabricate an 18,000-metric tonne integrated deck that includes facilities for gas compression, water injection, production separation and living quarters for 145 personnel. The Tapis Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) project is expected to be completed by the end of 2013. MMHE said the scope of work under the contract included procurement, fabrication, testing, load-out, transportation, installation and commissioning of the integrated Tapis R offshore platform deck, as well as two inter-platform bridges.
