IIF names Wahid co-chairman


PETALING JAYA: Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) president and CEO Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar has been appointed co-chairman of the Institute of International Finance’s (IIF) Emerging Markets Advisory Council (EMAC), succeeding K.V. Kamath who will resume his new role as chairman of Infosys Technologies, India.

EMAC comprises 40 senior executives of major financial services firms headquartered in emerging markets and it advises the board of directors of the IIF.
