The development of Malaysia as a competitive financial centre will be enhanced via the setting up of a treasury management centre and the development of the Kuala Lumpur International Financial Centre (KLIFD).
For the treasury management centre, proposed incentives range from income tax exemption of 70% for five years to withholding tax exemption on interest payments on borrowings and stamp duty exemption on loan and service agreements.
