PETALING JAYA: The tender to replace the identification page (ID) on the Malaysian passport with polycarbonate has attracted at least nine companies, some of which are global names in the digital security business, sources said.
They said the tender bid which closed on May 16 had attracted Paris-based and Netherlands listed Gemalto N.V, that made a bid together with its Malaysian partner, Al Karismi Technologies Sdn Bhd.
