KUALA LUMPUR: The FBM KLCI maintained its ground and ended the day higher, closing up 26.82 points or 1.85% to 1,474.09 at 5pm on Friday, bucking regional trend that saw Asian shares being dragged down ahead of key US jobs data.
Investors were seen nibbling on selected blue chip stocks as bargains are still abound after markets were beaten down for the past two weeks, with finance and plantation stocks lifting the market barometer up.
