Jeffrey Cheah Foundation to improve and change lives of bright M'sian students

Sunway Group founder and chairman Tan Sri Jeffrey Cheah's passion to improve the lives of bright Malaysian students was inspired by English clergyman John Harvard, who, upon his death in 1638, donated his entire library of books and half his wealth to an education institution which is today renowned as Harvard University.

Through the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation, which was officially launched in March last year, he has assisted over 6,000 deserving and needy Malaysian students in various fields of study with scholarships totalling some RM66mil. Clearly, the foundation represents Cheah's vision of changing and improving the lives of bright Malaysian students.
