High Court rules in favour of SC

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court ruled in favour of the Securities Commission (SC) on Ramesh Chelliah's leave application to commence judicial review for registering PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) with the Audit Oversight Board (AOB) on April 1, 2010.

Justice Datuk Rohana Yusuf, at the Kuala Lumpur High Court hearing on May 12, dismissed Ramesh's application for leave on the grounds that the application was made out of time and the applicant was not an aggrieved person affected by the SC's decision to register PwC and hence did not have locus standi to commence judicial review proceedings against the SC.
