Sime won’t be actively involved in third-party notices filed by ex-CEO

PETALING JAYA: Sime Darby Bhd will not be actively involved in the third party notices filed by the company's former chief Datuk Seri Ahmad Zubir Murshid against 22 individuals, which includes Sime Darby's chairman Tun Musa Hitam and some current board members of Sime, Kumpulan Sime Darby Bhd and Sime's subsidiaries.

The company told Bursa Malaysia yesterday that it was “advised that the third-party proceedings were separate from the claim brought against the defendants (which includes Ahmad Zubir), and the company will not be actively involved in the dispute between the third parties and the defendants.”
