PETALING JAYA: Malaysia's retail industry recorded sales growth of 8.5% in the fourth quarter of last year, higher than the earlier estimate of 6% by Retail Group Malaysia but lower than retailers' forecast of 12.7%.
“Rising prices of retail goods and year-end holidays contributed to the strong growth for the last three months of 2010,” Retail Group Malaysia managing director Tan Hai Hsin said in the latest Malaysia Retail Industry Report.
