LONDON: A London court has jailed a former trader who pleaded guilty to setting up a Ponzi scheme that defrauded investors out of 14 million pounds (US$22.4 million.)
Judge Christopher Hardy on Monday sentenced former GFX Capital director Terry Freeman to eight years in jail, saying that while the case was "not a classic ponzi-type fraud" it was "one of the most serious cases of this type" he had encountered.
