Micro enterprises (Micros) refers to companies that employ fewer than five people including the owner(s) and record sales turnovers of less than RM250,000 per annum, making them the smallest among SMEs.
In spite of their size and their equally small contribution to GDP, Micros are important as they account for more than 85% of all SMEs by number, over 50% of jobs, and serve as the seedbed for future larger enterprises.
