PETALING JAYA: Potential suitors for PLUS Expressways Bhd will have to make their offers fairly soon – before next month’s EGM to table the RM23bil offer by UEM Group Bhd and the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) to PLUS shareholders.
In a revised offer to PLUS on Tuesday, both UEM, controlled by Khazanah Nasional Bhd, and EPF included a new clause on competing offers which stated that PLUS and its directors shall have the right to consider, deliberate, assess and evaluate any competing offer including but not limiting its right to engage professional advisers and experts in the evaluation of any such offer.
