The most obvious in the local commodity scene this year was the appointment of Datuk Dr Salmiah Ahmad as the director-general of the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) in February and Datuk Dr Choo Yuen May as the director-general of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) in October.
