KUALA LUMPUR: Regulators in neighbouring countries need to come up with a common regulatory framework that supports infrastructure development and the relevant access to long-term Islamic financing, according to local and foreign industry players.
YTL Corp Bhd managing director Tan Sri Francis Yeoh said Islamic financing could fill the gap felt in infrastructure financing but there should be a transparent regulatory framework in place to attract investors, both locally and foreign.
