PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Association for Shopping and Highrise Complex Management (PPK) expects a 10% to 15% growth in sales for the retail sector in 2011 due to the spillover effect from the proposed abolishment of import duties on preferred goods.
Under Budget 2011, the Government proposed that import duty on approximately 300 goods preferred by tourists and locals, at 5% to 30%, be abolished.
