Rin didn’t agree to HLB’s first offer, court told

KUALA LUMPUR: Rin Kei Mei said “I will call off the deal” if Hong Leong Bank Bhd (HLB) did not revise its offer of RM7.10 per share to take over the entire asset and liabilities of EON Capital Bhd (EON Cap).

Rin, one of the major shareholders of EON Cap, was understood not to have considered the price of RM7.10 in reply to a question if HLB did not improve its offer, asked by Primus (M) Sdn Bhd co-counsel Gnanathan Pathmanathan from Gnanathan Loh at the High Court (Commercial Division) yesterday.
