EON Bank group CEO uncertain about EONCap EGM


PETALING JAYA: EON Bank Group group CEO Michael Lor has no idea of what will happen to the EGM to be held by its holding company, EON Capital Bhd (EONCap), on Sept 27 pertaining to the Hong Leong Bank Bhd (HLB) takeover offer.

This is due to the ongoing court case between Primus (M) Sdn Bhd, a unit of Hong Kong-based Primus Pacific Partners, as the petitioner against all EONCap directors except for Ng Wing-Fai, Primus Pacific’s representative on EONCap’s board, involving the takeover offer by HLB.
