SINGAPORE: Asian stock markets were mostly higher Friday amid confidence the region's growth will be sustained despite slow economic recoveries in the U.S. and Europe.
Some moderation in Asia's expansion is expected next year but growth rates are likely to remain well above those in the advanced economies, analysts say. China, now the world's second-biggest economy after three decades of blistering growth, will likely expand 10.1 percent this year and 9 percent next year, according to Rabobank.
