PETALING JAYA: The downgrades of the Selangor state’s water players’ debt ratings by Malaysian Rating Corp Bhd (MARC) and RAM Rating Services Bhd signify the increased urgency in resolving the restructuring of the state’s water sector, industry observers say.
“The urgency is becoming more obvious by the day, the bondholders are no minnows,” OSK Research’s water analyst Vincent Lim said.
