KUALA LUMPUR: Big stocks, led by banking favourites Maybank and CIMB surged on Monday as robust economic growth outlook and bouyant market sentiment spurred investors to buy quality local shares.
At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KL Composite Index climbed 11.21 points, or 0.8% to a 30-month high of 1,422.26 points.
