FEDERATION of Malaysian Consumers Association (Fomca) believes that a statutory National Healthcare Financing Scheme (NHFS), managed transparently with uniform regulated charges, will help address the access and affordability issues surrounding healthcare services in the country.
Fomca secretary-general Muhammad Sha’ani Abdullah says there is a personnel shortage in public hospitals and as a result, patients who need serious medical attention are deprived of timely treatment.
