BANGKOK: Asian stock markets mostly rose Tuesday, shrugging off weak U.S. corporate results as Chinese shares leapt for a second day amid expectations Beijing will moderate its efforts to cool the world's No. 3 economy.
The region's markets reversed course from a lackluster early start that was triggered by computer giant IBM reporting revenue short of expectations for the second quarter. Revenue at big banks that have reported quarterly earnings has also disappointed investors.
